Examples Of Existing College Magazines

This magazine is called 'COLLEGE' and by this name we can tell that the target audience for this magazine is college students and people sitting A-Levels.
The magazine has very eye catching sub-titles and a masthead that is significant bacause of its bright green, bold font that stands out to readers.
Other conventions included on the magazine include; Feature stories, Barcode, Dateline, Colours, Smaller Features, Sell line and also images, all of which are very prominant and stand out to the audience.
All of these conventions are very important to magazines because this is what sells them.
I will make sure that when it comes to designing, planning, making that I include them all in my magazine front cover because they are the things that make a magazine what it is .

This magazine is also called 'COLLGE' but is made by a different company.
It has pretty much all of the same conventions as the other magazine above such as, Feature stories, a Barcode,  a Dateline, Colours, Smaller Features, Sell line and images.
However, this magazine doesnt look as messy as the one above because its more neatly organised and colour themed which is a good thing because passing readers can take more in and read things better if its set out like this.
When creating my magazine i will make sure that it is set out like this magazine because it has everything a magazine should have without it looking over crowded and messy, however i would obviously change the colour, name and date on it depending on the choices that i make.
